Miss Garrett
At Shefford Lower School, our Science curriculum plays an important role in nurturing children’s curiosity and encourages them to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop a deeper understanding of the world. We also use every opportunity to promote compassion, respect, and responsibility for living things, sustainability and the environment through our learning.
During their time at Shefford Lower School, pupils develop key scientific knowledge through carefully planned units of learning. They progressively build their scientific vocabulary, deepen their understanding of important concepts, and develop the skills needed to work and think like scientists.
“The important thing is to never stop questioning.”Albert Einstein
